Island of Faith

I haven't written in a few weeks and I wanted to share a couple things that happened today.

Ryan and I attend the Lutheran church in town called Island of Faith.  Today was a special service to welcome our new intern, Lynne, and begin her two-year internship.  Ryan is leading the internship committee and had to read the "rite of beginning" during the service today.  So that was pretty exciting.

Also during communion I got a large piece of bread (which I hate so much) so I broke it in half and was holding it in my hand.  Then it dawned on me that we would be holding hands in a few seconds during a short prayer, so I quick slipped the bread into Ryan's pocket and grabbed his hand.  He had no idea until we got back to our seats and I said to him, "I put a little body in your pocket".  He was so appalled!  I laughed so hard I cried!

Lastly, today was also our annual meeting at church.  I volunteered to become the newest member of the church council.  My title is Member at Large and I will begin going to meetings after the baby is born.

Anyways, that's what we have been up to.  Next weekend is my baby shower and I am sure I will have some photos to share from that.  Love you all!
