VP...who me?

Wow, this week flew by so quickly.  This weekend we played our first JV games.  We lost on Friday, but won on Saturday evening!  The Varsity girls won both nights!  It was a huge morale booster!

Saturday morning I had my first paying clients.  I took their engagement photos.  I haven't had time to download the photos to my computer yet.  I sure hope they turn out; I was working against a unusually sunny day.

Today we had our Annual Meeting at church.  I was promoted from my current council position of "member at large" to "Vice President"!  Oh boy... like I don't have enough going on!

Clayton is doing well.  He is growing like a weed and getting into everything!  I cannot believe how much he has changed and how quickly!  See for yourself:

Time Flies

The days are flying by too quickly!   Clay is growing up too fast!   This week was finals week at school which is always a busy time for me. I also had basketball practice every evening and games this weekend.   We lost both games.

Ryan and I just finally took down our Christmas decorations!  While taking them down, I declared that I am never decorating again!  It just didn't seem worth all the work to take them down and put them away!  Perhaps that's why it's only once a year, so we forget by the time it rolls around again!

We tried sleep training with Clay again and it is FINALLY working!  Every time we have tried in the past he would just cry and cry and never give up.  The first night this time he fell asleep after an hour of crying.  The next night only a half an hour of crying  and so on. He is now down to about 5-10 minutes!  Here comes the best part... He has been putting himself back to sleep when he wakes up in the middle is the night!  He has slept through the night for 3 nights in a row now!!!  I am so happy!  Now I just need to retrain myself to sleep all night again!

Well, Hello

Hello Friends!  I'd like to start by apologizing for my brief hiatus.  When I jumped on to write, I found two drafts..."Vacation" and "Vacation's End".  Needless to say neither of them had much written, but I had good intentions.

So since the last post we traveled to MN, WI, and MI, visited for a couple weeks, and traveled back to AK!

Travel with a 9 month old was much different than it was with a 3 month old.   Overall, Clay did a good job flying, driving, and adjusting to the new time zones but we did have a couple hiccups.  On the way there he ended up got a horrible tummy ache.  The same happened on the trip back.

Then once we returned all three of us got a stomach bug!  It was no fun.  There should be a rule that no mommy ever has to get sick, but especially if her baby and husband (the biggest baby) are sick too!

This weekend I took my first trip away from Clayton.  I was gone for a total of 48 hours, but it sure felt longer!  From what I can tell he and Daddy had a good weekend while I was away.  The next two basketball trips will be longer so I am glad things went as well as they did.

As always things are crazy at our house, but we wouldn't have it any other way!
