Carrot Sticks and Stones

Clay has been trying an array of foods the past couple weeks.  This week he started feeding himself by gumming hard veggies, like carrots.

He really enjoyed this carrot, until he dropped it...

then Milo enjoyed it!
Milo is starting to really like Clayton now that he always tastes like food!

Enjoy a couple other photos from this week:

My photos for Clay's room arrived.  Look how they turned out.  His room is looking so adorable as each new item is added.

Today we had a nice day at the beach.  Take a look for yourself.

Arabella stopped playing to enjoy a sandwich for lunch.

Clay enjoyed some pebbles.

We aren't looking forward to explaining that one to the daycare provider.  She has already told me I should be blending his food more, imagine how surprised she'll be when he poos pebbles!

What a wonderful way to end our weekend.

The Tongue

Well here it is, Clay's new favorite thing.
He loves sticking out his tongue, especially when I ask him to smile!

Clay and the turtle.
He loves to play with this turtle.  It sings and lights up and is really annoying.  In fact, Ryan and I often find ourselves singing, "My friends are traveling on my back...".  So thank you so much, Auntie Annie!

Pumpkin... yum.

He's looking so much like Mommy.
There's that tongue again!  Even when he was laughing because Daddy was tickling him, Clay kept that tongue sticking out!

Check out this sweet stripped outfit.  Even Clayton is laughing at how funny he looks.
Can you guess who dressed him?

Yesterday, Clayton and I got to have a Mommy & Clay day.

We had lunch together...

Clay ate my keys.

I ate this delicious panini.
We went shopping & stopped by school...

One final tongue for this post!  :o)

and we ran into Clay's friend, Griffey...

Working on their handshake.
We are still very busy, but weekends like this make it all seem worth while.

Pumpkin Patch

Thank goodness that week is over!  The first week of coaching basketball has proven to be quite crazy. I may have overcommitted my time a little and am finding it hard to juggle everything.  I am sure I will get the hang of it though.  At least I hope so or it will be a very long month!

Today our little community had a big shopping event (Tax-free Day) and a Pumpkin Patch Festival for the kiddos.

We got up early, made our way to town and managed to maneuver our way through the stores and festival.  Clay got to ride in mommy's backpack in the stores, which he loved until he fell asleep, and pick out a pumpkin.  On top of it all, we had time to go for a family swim.

After a short nap, we are now letting life slow down a little bit and are spending some time together in the family room!  Ryan is playing his new video game, Clayton is 'helping', Milo is tearing apart a bone, and I am catching you up on what's going on in Alaska.

What a wonderful day!  We love and miss you all.

Home with Mommy

Today daycare was closed because the provider is ill.  So I got to stay home with Clayton and to top it all off it was a beautiful sunny day!

Going for a walk on this bright day!

We had a lovely day together.  I also got to spend today doing all of those "sunday chores" I do each weekend.  So that worked out nicely because I did not do anything yesterday on account of Sue and Bill staying until this morning.  Anyways, back to work for me...tomorrow Ryan gets to stay home with Clay.
