12 Days of Christmas

Wowzers!  It has been way too long since the last time I wrote.  We have been super busy and it just isn't slowing.

Well, I coached Middle School basketball again this year.  The girls were so chatty and energetic.  It made for an exciting and some time frustrating season!  We travelled to Ketchikan for the first tournament and lost all of our games.  Bummer!  Well, it was fun and I loved going shopping and eating at yummy restaurants!  It is so great to get off the island once and a while, but always wonderful to come back.

Two days after I returned from the tournament Ryan and I flew to Maui, Hawaii!  We finally got to take some time and enjoy being married!  It was so nice to spend some quality time together and not think about anything but having fun and relaxing!  We had so many exciting experiences!  We snorkeled with Sea Turtles, ate traditional food at a Lu'au, participated in a comedy/magic show, swam in the ocean (alot!), watched Christmas movies, and enjoyed sleeping to the sounds of the ocean.  We had the most wonderful view and pictures will never be able to show just how amazing Maui was, but I will try!

Since we have been home we have decorated our home for the Holidays!  In the Howe household this winter we are celebrating the 12 Days of Christmas before we head to the Midwest for Christmas.  It started on Saturday with a celebration.  Ryan made homemade Chullah (a Jewish bread), ham, salads, and wassail (a traditional Christmas drink).  I made homemade sugar cookies that we all frosted after dinner.  We had so much fun and were so glad all of our friends could make it!

Ryan and I used to do countdowns to when we would see each other again.  Now we have a countdown until we get back to see our families!  13 days and counting!  See you soon!
