Catch Up

I have been busy getting together my things to head back to Wisconsin.  As I spend the last night here in Alaska with Ryan I am both sad and excited!  It will be weird to be away from him for a whole month, but I am really looking forward to spending time with the fam!  Anyways I have a ton of stuff to report on....
We have spent a lot of time with friends in the last few weeks.  We played basketball, made dinners, played video games, board games, card games, had a bonfire and went for walks.  Below you can see a picture of the boys playing just dance.  It was extremely entertaining to watch them all try to dance!  :o)
Also here are some pictures of the night we had a bonfire with a bunch of friends...

As part of my job I spent several days preparing for The Blue Ribbon ceremony.  Our school was nationally recognized for academic excellence and awarded the Blue Ribbon.  Below is a picture from the parade we had through town.  The kids seemed to really enjoyed themselves.  Overall, it was a great success!  The other picture is part of the bulletin board I created!  The ribbon is bigger than me!
Well, I think that is all for now.  Ryan and I are spending some quality time together tonight.  We made a steak dinner and are watching a movie at home.  Tomorrow I leave at 10am and I will get to WI at 10:30am the following day!  I look forward to seeing everyone!

Sleepless

Happy Easter!  It is 5:20 in the morning and I have been awake for at least 2 hours now.  I have spent some time finding myself a puppy and watched the latest episode of House.  I am not sure why I am awake but I have several theories.  #1:  I cannot stop coughing!  I am hacking so much my muscles ache all over.  #2: I am making up for missing sunrise service back home with the family by being awake at crazy hours of the morning.  #3: God really wants me to go to the sunrise service in town & then our normal service.  I told some friends last night I would go to the early service if I was awake thinking I would never be awake by 7am.  And I also promised to be at our regular service because it is our pastors last day ever.  Silly Girl!  #4:  I am hoping the Easter bunny brings me MORE stuff!  :o)  I got to find my basket yesterday... it was filled with cheese!  In fact there was cheese made in Kaukauna.  It made me happy and tasted delicious!  Well I am out of ideas and unfortunately still not tired, so I guess it is back to puppy hunting for me!  Happy Easter to you all!  Hallelujah, He is Risen!

April Showers Bring Heather Back to Wisconsin.

Hello Everyone!

I am sorry it has been so long.  This last week I have been super ill.  I think this is quite possibly the worst cold/flu thing I have ever had and the timing was just terrible.  I am still coughing up a storm, but today was the first day I have been able to stand for more than 10 minutes without feeling like I was going to pass out.  So I finally got to clean, prepare food, laundry, ect.  Before that the house was a disaster zone!  Tomorrow is my final weigh in for my low calorie portion of this diet.  I am really excited to see everyone when I get home!  I put two pictures side-by-side one from December 2010 and one from a couple days ago and I am pretty sure I lost a whole 5 year old.  The next challenge is stabilizing my metabolism and maintaining my weight.  Today Ryan and I joined (for free) a wellness program going on in our city.  It is a year long program/contest to keep the community active.  At the end of a year, there is a panel of judges to decide on a "winner" and that person will get $1000 and so on.  There will be 15 winners!  We are pretty excited about our chances!  We started out strong and went for a nice walk tonight.
Well, start your countdowns and make your paper-chains because I will be home in exactly 16 days!  I have a lot of packing to do in order to move us into our new home!  Ryan will have a ton more to do alone though...I feel a little bad about that.  But he is a big strong manly man, so he will be okay!  Well, I that is all I can think of for now.  See you all very, very soon!

Haircut and Stuff

I have been nagging on Ryan to get his haircut for a long time!  He asked if I would cut it for him, so I decided worst case scenario he would just shave his head like he used to.  Well anyways here are the before and afters...

Not the best haircut he has ever recieved, but not the worst either.  I was pretty proud of my handy work.  Also I purchased Dr. Mario for the wii and have been playing not stop!  I love it and I even got Ryan hooked!
Hmmm... I took this picture the other day.  It was beautiful outside!  I am excited for the weather to get nicer and nicer.  Oh, guess what else!  We found a cute two bedroom house for next year.  It will be newly remodeled when we move in and we are super excited!  Pictures will be uploaded when we move in in August...right now it is gutted!  But we will have room for guests, so everyone will have to come visit us!
